about IGC for EnviroLink Users
Since 1991,
the EnviroLink Network has provided free Internet services to non-profit
organizations that work on environmental and animal concerns issues.
When EnviroLink started this service, it was one of the only no-cost
alternatives for non-profit organizations to gain a foothold on
the Internet. Today, the Internet is accepted as a powerful communications
tool by millions and EnviroLink serves hundreds of organizations
throughout the world. A lot has changed in those twelve years and
now EnviroLink is changing as well.
The EnviroLink
Network has joined forces with the Institute for Global Communications
(IGC) to provide the progressive non-profit community with the best
possible Internet services. Since 1987, IGC has been providing the
progressive community with Internet services in a professional and
responsible manner. IGC is a non-profit organization committed to
many of the same principles as EnviroLink
Effective immediately,
IGC has assumed responsibility for operating and supporting EnviroLink
web hosting and mailing list services. Envirolink users will experience
no change nor interruption of their service. IGC has agreed to provide
all of EnviroLink's users with free service until September 15,
2003. After that time, IGC will offer service to EnviroLink users
at IGC's standard rate of $15 per month. You can learn more about

I
don't currently have a web site at EnviroLink, just mailing lists,
how will this change affect me?
Until
September 15, 2003, IGC will continue to provide you with free service
for your mailing lists. After September 15, you will need to pay
$15 per month if you wish to keep operating your lists. In addition to the
list service you are currently receiving, you will also be entitled
to web space that IGC will provide at your request.
What
type of payment does IGC accept?
IGC
accepts payment by VISA, Mastercard, Discover, and Amex. IGC does
not accept payment by check.
I currently
have a 40MB web site, will I get 100MB of web space if I
switch over to paid IGC service?
Yes. At your request, IGC will raise your web site quota from 40
to 100MB.
I currently have more than 100MB of web space at EnviroLink,
will I still
be charged $15 per month?
Yes. IGC has agreed to provide service to all EnviroLink service
at $15 per month even if they are currently using more than 100MB
of web space.
I currently have more than five mailing lists. Will I still
be charged $15
per month?
Yes. IGC has agreed to provide service to all EnviroLink
service at $15 per month even if they currently have more than five
mailing lists.
